The Dewey Square Market

The Boston Public Market at Dewey Square (South Station) opened in June of 2006 as the first activation of the Rose Kennedy Greenway. Located near one of Boston's busiest transit stations, as well as numerous office buildings, the Leather District, Fort Point and Chinatown, Dewey Square is host to tens of thousands of people who pass by every day. With the help of a grant from State Street, we are now adding a "Dewey Live" program, with music, cookbook singings and other activities. Eventually, we hope to host chefs demonstrations as well.

In addition to our regular vendors, the Boston Public Market at Dewey Square is host to artists from the Fort Point Artists Community every Wednesday. We also distribute our surplus end of day foods through the Greater Boston Food Bank to local shelters such as the Boston Rescue Mission and the Veterans Shelter. New vendors are always welcome at Dewey Square, call 617-263-3355 for more informaton.
